What operating systems does TransXP work with?
If you have USB ports you might want to consider an external USB enclosure.
What setup do you recommend I use to backup my laptop computer?
With a laptop it is normal that you not be able to connect more then one hard drive at a time. This can limit the options somewhat.
What do you recommend I use as a backup media?
A major concern in all backup scenarios is that the backup media be able to be easily removed for storage off site.
For Speed: We recommend using a hard drive as the backup media, in conjunction with a removable hard drive bay to mount the hard drive. The drawback to this setup is that it is not hot swappable, although speeds on this setup can approach 50MBps (Mega Bytes Per Second) or 3GBpM (Giga Bytes Per Minute).
For Convenience: We recommend using a hard drive mounted in an external USB 2 drive kit, connected to a High Speed USB 2.0 port. The drawback to this setup will be speed. If you use a USB 2.0 port you can expect to see copy speeds of about 21MBps or 1.3GBpM if on the other hand you us a USB 1.0 port you will only see copy speeds of about 1MBps or .6GBpM, although this setup is hot swappable, which is a nice time saver

I have installed TransXP and am unable to run the executables?
If you are running Windows XP or 2003 Server with SP2 installed this is due to the new DEP (Data Execution Protection) system. You will need to either disable DEP or include the executables in the DEP exception list. Here is a link to help in either of these cases.

Does TransXP Support IDE, SCSI, ATA, SATA and SATA II drives, or Drives Connected via USB or Firewire?
TransXP is device independent. If Windows can see the disk with both a logical drive letter and a physical disk number then TransXP can see the drive as well.
