The program supports drag & drop, interactive thumbnails scaling, thumbnails rotation and mirroring, support of copying of the selected files parameters into clipboard for use by other applications, displays full information about files (version, type, keywords, notes etc.). File information is conveniently shown in tooltip-like popup windows when the mouse is hovered over the file thumbnail.
Built-in animation engine allows to display animation for plural files in browser window directly (in this release for animated GIF files only).
ST Thumbnails Explorer distinctive feature is support of multi-page files and displaying of the all pages of such files in the thumbnails browser window.
The application can use installed Microsoft Office 2003 Document Imaging (MODI) for transparent optical character recognition (OCR, in this release for MDI files only).
ST Thumbnails Explorer have the integrated Network Installations Management. This technology allows easy install, register and update of plural copies of the application in the corporate networks. The application also supports multi-user and multiplatform solutions based on MS Terminal Server.
The application base features doesn't require installation of any additional components or graphic editors. The program requires few system resources. ST Thumbnails Explorer 1.2 is very useful tool for management of any graphics files. For vector graphics image management this application practically has no alternatives.
ST Thumbnails Explorer Features highlights include:

ST Thumbnails Explorer FAQ:
1. The program doesn't view some AI-files. Why?
ST Thumbnails Explorer shows AI-thumbnails only if there are any. A thumbnails in AI-files appeared only in version 7. But still there are no thumbnails in some v7-10 files. Those are mostly files exported from applications other than Adobe Illustrator.
If you have Adobe Illustrator 10, you may use our freeware batch converter. It will transform files of all versions to files of version 7-10 with thumbnails.
2. Why ST Thumbnails Explorer v1.1 (according to Task Manager for NT/2000/XP) uses a processor up to 100%?
ST Thumbnails Explorer is a multithread application. This helps us to make viewing extremely speedy and simple. The threads are of different priority, and those, which demand more processor time, work only when there are no requests from other applications. Thus, this can't be of much influence on the effectiveness of other applications. Still. we realize that this feature of the application involves a certain discomfort to some of our users. In v1.2 and v2 the application structure was altered in order to exclude constant use of the processor on 100%.
3.Are you going to increase the number of formats supported? If yes, what other formats will be included?
Yes, certainly. In the next version we'll offer the support of base raster and some other formats: tif, gif, bmp, jpg, psd, wmf, emf, eps, png, xar, cnv, htm etc. The full list of formats which are supported by version 2 at present you may find out in News.
