- How can I use TribalWeb on 2 PC of a local network?
To use TribalWeb on 2 computers of a local network, you must create 2 distincts users.
Each PC must use its own TCP port and have its own local IP address.
Exemple :
PC1 : local IP =192.168.0.10; TCP Port (step 1 of 2 within the TribalWeb software) =3728
PC2 : local IP =192.168.0.20; TCP Port (step 1 of 2 within the TribalWeb software) =3730
router rules (NAT):
external port=3728; internal port =3728; protocole=TCP; server IP = 192.168.0.10
external port=3730; internal port =3730; protocole=TCP; server IP = 192.168.0.20
- How can I use the Premium version after formating my hard drive or changing my computer?
After buying your Premium version, you have associated it with your user name (it's the activation procedure).
It's now your user name which has become Premium.
If you format your hard drive or use another PC, you just have to download the TribalWeb free version and then connect with your Premium user name. You'll be automatically using the Premium version of the software.
- Where can I find the downloaded files?
Downloaded files are recorded in the directory "My documents\my downloads tribalweb.net". The "My documents" directory is on your desktop.
You can open this directory from the software by cliking open download folder.
You can modify the download directory clicking on Modify parameters from the Transfers Tab.
- My bandwidth seems to split between upload and download.
TribalWeb uses the TCP protocol to exchange files. When exchanging files with the TCP protocol, control informations are sent from the receiver to the sender to make sure there is no data loss. So when you're uploading a file, you're also downloading control informations; when you're downloading a file you're also uploading control informations. Part of your bandwith is used by control informations. This is obvious if you are uploading a file and then decide to download another one, you'll see your uploading rate lower.
