- What is the difference between 'live broadcasts' and 'streaming
audio and video'?
Live broadcasts are broadcasts from radio stations that are
broadcasting live content on the Internet at the same time they
broadcast into the airwaves. The nice thing about receiving
live broadcasts via the Internet is that you can listen to land
based radio stations from all over the globe without having
to be there.
- How come some stations come up as video broadcasts while
searching but they aren't really video when I play them?
Some radio transmissions display a logo or animation while the
audio plays, these are technically classified as video because
they display video while they play.
- What is the difference between regular and advanced search?
The regular or default (non-advanced) search searches for keywords
in the database. The advanced search actually searches the full
location and name. For example if there was a video clip in
the database called "Richard Nixon in Washington, Firearms Meeting"
and you did an advanced search for "fire" it would come up because
the word "fire" appears in "Firearms", in a regular (non-advanced)
search this result would only have come up by searching "Firearms"
or one of the other full words in the sentence.
