 OrangeCD Catalog is the comprehensive
music database program for cataloging your music in any format:
CDs, DVDs, records, MP3 files or tapes. To add a new CD to the database,
you just need to insert the CD in your computer, and OrangeCD will
download all information from Internet. You don't have to type a
single word. Filling your music CD database becomes quick and easy.
The resulting database can be used for browsing, searching, printing

- I need to move my CD database to another computer or reinstall
my Windows system from scratch. What files should I backup to
preserve all the information?
OrangeCD stores all album information in files of type .DAB.
To determine what is the path of the current database, check
with General tab of the Preferences dialog in OrangeCD Player.
Historic installation default is C:\Program Files\OrangeCD\default.dab.
In OrangeCD Catalog, you can create multiple databases, which
you also need to save in backup or copy to another computer.
Important note: if you have checked "Store covers in external
files" option on Imaging tab of Preferences dialogs, that means
all the covers are stored in a separate files in a folder with
_covers suffix. For example, if your database file name is Mymusic.dab,
the cover images are stored in JPEG files in Mymusic_covers
folder. You need to copy these files to another computer as
well.
- How can I completely uninstall OrangeCD from my computer?
To completely uninstall OrangeCD from your computer, follow
these steps:
Open Add/Remove Programs applet in Control Panel, select OrangeCD,
then click Uninstall.
Using Windows Explorer, manually delete OrangeCD from your Program
Files folder. The reason this folder is not deleted automatically
is that it contains CD related information that user likely
does not want to lose during uninstall.
- I downloaded and installed OrangeCD Player. When I inserted
a CD, it did not play automatically. There is no Play menu item.
How can I start playing CD?
To start playing the CD, right-click on the CD icon in the taskbar,
then point and click on the first track title (or click on any
track you would like to start from).
- For what purpose OrangeCD asks my e-mail address? Will
I receive any e-mail on this address?
The only reason why OrangeCD needs the user's e-mail address
is proper authentication while accessing FreeDB public databases.
Normally you should not receive any mail on this address. However,
if FreeDB server ever rejects your submission due the invalid
content, you may be notified using the provided e-mail address.
