Music Catalogue Master
Music Catalogue Master is a powerful software tool that allows anyone to easily organize and catalog CDs and vinyl records into a fully searchable database. It enters CDs and vinyl record albums automatically by connecting via the Internet. It allows you to enter all the available album and track information into its database, including artist name, title, label, release year, all track information, roles, and credits. With its powerful querying capabilities, you can display and print any CD, record, or track you want, or create HTML and PDF reports.

Gracenote on steroids, Music Catalogue Master 4 helps you organize
and maintain even the largest music collections by seamlessly integrating
local and online resources.
The Auto CD Entry function lets you add a disc to your collection by simply inserting it into a drive. The program automatically queries Gracenote, the online music database, to download information, including the title, genre, label, and release year of the CD, and the performer, composer, and duration of each track. To add an LP, you merely enter the title and artist name, and the program retrieves similar information from the freedb online service.
MCM lets you manually enter many other types of data about each
album, including chart and sales statistics, location on your rack,
buying and selling histories, disc and cover condition, lyrics,
and freehand notes. Classical releases have additional fields such
as orchestra, conductor, and soloist, and you can even track the
names of actors and their roles in operas and soundtracks.
MCM's flexible search engine can use almost any combination of these
items to locate recordings in your collection, and the program can
print a mind-numbing 130 types of reports or save them as Web pages
or Acrobat files. If all this isn't enough, the program also offers
an Artist view that displays photos, text, and links for many popular
performers. |

Music Catalogue Master FAQ:
- When I go to import data from Music Catalogue Master version
3 into Music Catalogue Master version 4, I get the error message:
"The file - 'Artists.dbf' could not be found". What do I do?
When the Version 4 import utility starts up, the default folder
it starts from is the Version 4 main folder. You MUST navigate
through the folder structures to where you installed Version
3 of Music Catalogue Master, and then double click on the Data
subfolder of this folder. That is where the data from version
3 is stored. This should eliminate your problem.
