Empathy Jukebox
Empathy Jukebox is a virtual jukebox. Using the free companion program, EMPRIP, it allows you to extract your audio CDs to MP3 format and manages them not as files but as entire albums. It then allows you to access your music using a simple yet powerful interface that is as close to a Jukebox as we think you can get. You can compile play lists or create random ones, view your album covers, print a catalogue of your music collection and much, much more.

Empathy Jukebox FAQ:
- Why does the scanner option not function under Windows
XP?
Microsoft have removed the Kodak Windows Imaging component from
Windows XP. Empathy currently relies on this for it's scanner
functions. If you have upgraded from a previous version is it
possible to install the Windows Imaging ActiveX component from
your old disks. See this page for a hint on how to fix this.
This issue will be fixed for the next release.
- How do I use a Screen saver as eyecandy in Empathy?
Specify the name and path of the screensaver in the 'Eyecandy
program path' text-box in the Options section. Append a ' /S'
to the end to force the program into screensaver mode. eg. C:\WINDOWS\GEISS.SCR

- How do I use empathy to access a folder on a network drive?
In the Options dialog enter a UNC path to the folder. eg \\ANOTHERPC\SHARENAME\EMPATHYFILESYSTEMFOLDER
- Can I use my exisiting MP3 files with Empathy?
Yes. See the 'Empathy File System' for more information.
